1/32 F-105 Thunderchief — Not BMF — This Is Aluminum Lacquer.
This 1/32 F-105 isn’t done in a traditional Bare Metal Finish. It’s based on the aluminum lacquer coating used on real F-105s (and F-104s) in the late ’60s under “Project Lookalike.”
I built up the finish with several thin layers of highly diluted dull aluminum to recreate that soft, low-sheen silver look — metallic, but not shiny. A subtle tone that reflects history more than light.
