I’ve always been particularly interested in the techniques for showcasing bare-metal finishing on aircraft surfaces, and I’ve completed numerous BMF projects in the past. But I don’t like just repeating what I’ve done before or following the same routine that I don’t think realistically represents BMF.
After studying numerous old photos over time (refer to the last two historical pictures), I decided to try a different approach—one that can express the irregular conditions of a BMF aircraft surface.
This is a new attempt, and experience tells me that you can’t get it perfect on the first try. I’ll keep experimenting and look forward to hearing your encouragement along the way!
