DCS is releasing new generation of online design tool, Online Canvas. It’s launched on Jan 2011. One of the new and fundamental feature is the free-hand object transforming.

The design objects on the canvas are text, clip art, and images. The transforming tool will allow user to scale, stretch, flip, rotate, and move design object without looking for tools or button. All operation should be and could be happened intuitively.  As the user move the mouse over 4 corner, the stretch, scale, or rotate cursor will appear promptly.  Move mouse to center of X, or Y, pointer will turn to one-dimensional stretch cursor.  Move mouse pointer inside the object, the “MOVE” cursor show up.

Here is the sneak preview of how objects can be transformed easily.

In term of TEXT object. Transform feature activated by click on the text object.

1) Add new/ select a text object

Note: to delete any object (text/clipart/image), use the (Delete), or (Backspace) key.  To recovery it, just click on the (UNDO) button on the canvas.

2) Scale a text object

Rotate a text object

In term of CLIP ART object.  first, add a new clipart or click on an existing clipart on the Canvas

1) Assign different color to the clipart

2)Scale a clip-art object

In term of IMAGE object, user first upload an image or click on an existing image

Scale & Stretch an image object

Rotate an image object

Flip the image

Finally, you may dynamically choose multiple objects from the canvas and transform the selected objects together.

Start from select the first object

Hold the Shift key to select 2nd, 3rd,.. to the dynamic group

showing a text and a clipart is selected, or 2 objects been selected

Move 2 objects together

Scale the 2 objects together

Rotate 2 objects together
