New Tax rate, & Zone List for CA-based X-cart stores
News release from the Board of Equalization that states, “Effective April 1, 2009, the state sales and use tax rate increases by 1%. In addition, if you are in a city or county that has a voter approved local district tax rate increase effective on April 1, 2009, your overall tax rate increase will be higher.
Teh Lu, IT manager at AMTFcorp.com, a respectful client of DCS, has prepared the updated Zone list and Rate List for California-based X-cart Store owners. I did a few minor modification to make it worked just fine.
=========================================
Complete Zone List after April 1st 2009 in California
= Internal + CA States + USA + 70 CA Zones
Sales Tax rates after April 1st, 2009 in California
= 58 County (tax Zone) + 11 city specified rates + 1 Ca default

I have updated the link in this post.
The last update was made on June 2009. I have say it’s 99% correct. But, cities and counties in CA. keep updating their rate in past few month. You need to keep update it whenever there is an update.
We are working with x-cart and are putting together another store for a division of ours that sell lab supplies nationwide, we are based in CA and was wondering if you would share the updates zone list and rate list that you have so we could import to our store. We are currently working with 2TC and haven’t asked them for this, just was searching to learn more about it and came across your post. Regards,Curtis
